Whether they are labeled deacons, deaconesses, greeters, or anything else, the New Testament model of hospitality proactively reaches out to meet the spiritual, mental and physical needs in the body of Christ and in the world. The HOW ministry of hospitality spans the gamut from greeting (making guests feel comfortable and welcome), to ushering (ministering to everyone's needs during services), to visiting/ministering to the sick, to providing meals for those needing temporary assistance, to aiding assimilation of new believers/members into the body.

The Hospitality Ministry plays a vital ministry role ensuring that members and guests experience a positive worship event. Pam Wilson leads the hospitality ministry at The Worship Center.

Luke 2:52 tells us that, as a young person "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man." At The Worship Center, we place a high value on helping our children to grow in FAITH, WISDOM, and FRIENDSHIP.

  1. FAITH: I can TRUST God, no matter what!
  2. WISDOM: I need to make WISE choices.
  3. FRIENDSHIP: I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated.

It's ok to have fun in church - especially when outrageous fun enhances growth in kids. Who says that boring is better! Kids at The Worship Center enjoy opportunities for high-energy activities, focused Bible-based lessons, and meaningful hands-on life applications.

Children learn in their own age-appropriate groups each Sunday morning. Even for our youngest kids, planned and strategic activities are implemented for growth in the Biblical priorities of FAITH, WISDOM, and FRIENDSHIP.

We have individual classes for each of these age groups:

The purpose of the MOW men’s ministry isn't just to keep the church grass cut, it's to provide fellowship and accountability among men. Men have unique issues they deal with professionally, spiritually and in leading their families and often don't even realize their need for fellowship and guidance. Our goal is to provide monthly activities to encourage and facilitate this type of positive spiritual interaction and accountability among men.

Our music ministry, though contemporary and sometimes rockin', centers around bringing people into an intimate worship experience with the risen Christ! In accordance with Psalm 150, we utilize a multitude of instruments to make a joyful sound unto God (Psalm 33:3).

Music is an international language shared by all cultures and has been utilized since early times to express man's love, worship and adoration to God. A part of individual spiritual growth is active participation in weekly praise and worship services. We also conduct quarterly Sunday evening music ministry services in which the agenda is simply to sing praise and worship to God. Our goal each service is to create an atmosphere in which God is lifted up and His Spirit has liberty to manifest Himself as He chooses.

Women play multiple roles and face multifaceted challenges today as wives, mothers, professionals, business owners, house keepers, dish washers, launderers, the list goes on and on and on… The goal of WOW is to provide the requisite social interaction necessary to women, give them a refreshing break from the everyday pressures of life and to minister to the spiritual needs unique to women.

Gale Murphy serves as the coordinator of women's ministries for The Worship Center.

As former Youth Pastors, Pastor Garry and Diana have a strong vision for equipping young men and women with what they need spiritually to not only survive, but to thrive in the modern culture they're growing up in. Our goal is provide them with the requisite tools to be strong persons on the inside and influencers of pop culture through the way they conduct themselves and live their lives.

We also provide opportunities for young persons to "put their hand to the plow" through various ministry opportunities around the church. And besides all that, it's important to keep youth busy with activities and its okay to have fun, fun, fun at church!
